The World Federation of Intercultural Journalists (WOFIJ) is going to join the press freedom community who was shaken and outraged by the tragic killing and attacks of journalists in Ukraine. Journalists must not be targets of war because they are civilians, who are keeping the world informed about the progress of the fighting and they must be able to work safely.

WOFIJ is broad to join the wider advocacy statements and voices from the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) and others working press freedom issues including the Committee To Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the Reporters Without Borders (RSF).
