The World Federation of Intercultural Journalists (WOFIJ) is joining the UN and UNESCO press freedom events scheduled to take place at New-York, USA and IFAJ’s press freedom committee event via zoom portal on May 3, 2022.

This year’s main theme will be in line with the overarching theme “Journalism under digital siege”. Estonia: The Estonian Association of Journalists marks the WPFD2022 with the hybrid discussion “In Crisis with Ethics” on media ethics, media freedom and journalists’ role in the time of crisis.

WOFIJ is aiming to remind UNESCO and the the press freedom organizations the legality processes could cause interactions between one or more cultures because along with other Aid and humanitarian emergency professionals, journalists are often “first responders” when an earthquake, prolonged conflict, civil war or a terrorist attack devastates a community.
