As 2022 draws back its end as to a close, we reflect on a year that has brought challenges, but also many successes for the IFJ and journalists’ rights. We would like to thank all our staff, affiliates, media and partnering organisations who have helped us make 2022 a year of achievements.

Thank you also for your generous donations to the Safety Fund which have made it possible to provide immediate assistance to colleagues in need around the world, including in Ukraine and Afghanistan.

We wish you and everyone a prosperous 2023 with decent work for all and stronger press freedom and more safety and works for all media workers.
