The role of the media in delivering the SDGs is a quite an action that needs redefining process which is an independent one with a lot of physical measures. It identifies five key roles: channeling information flow; acting as a watchdog ensuring proper monitoring and accountability; acting as an enabler of a “culture of peace”; upholding marginalized voices; and facilitating the localizing of the SDGs before and after 2030.
The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and is intended to be achieved by 2030.
